Theres something incredibly powerful about an actual true story told live by the person it happened to.
I love true-storytelling events, I’ve taken part in some, run a few over the years and I also advise companies on capturing, using and retelling people’s stories. (Here’s a blog about it for Arthritis Research UK.)
A good true story is punchy, gripping, revealing and hopefully has a few funny moments too. Here’s a story I told live in 2010:
(This anecdote about my rather unusual previous job, was made by Spark London in 2010. They hold regular events across the UK which I definitely recommend!)
Just to prove it happened, here’s the photos.
