Space For Storytelling

We exist to help storytellers to grow sustainably within a creative community. Space for Storytelling is a place where individuals can meet, learn, support each other.

(update March 2024) Great news! Space For Storytelling has received new funding from Coin Street Neighbourhood Fund. Thanks to them -and to St Johns Waterloo- we will be bringing you more brilliant FREE workshops in 2024-5 to help you develop your storytelling skills and career! More news soon. Meanwhile, find out about our current programme below.

Why “Space For Storytelling”?

At the start of 2022 (as a response to Covid, spiralling cost of living and removal of creative space in London) we launched a free storytelling club at Elephant and Castle. In 2023, we went a step further and created a free & accessible series of workshops to nurture London’s storytelling scene. This was all paid for by crowdfunders.

Find us at The Bridge Waterloo, St John Waterloo, on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. Tickets are available. All workshops, performances and masterclasses are free to access.

You are welcome to join us! (all details below)

We are disability-positive and have fully accessible toilets and a fire-safe lift.

The Bridge is a non-denominational space which is separate from the church.

    • Hello and thanks for your message. In general we will not be recording the sessions however as the 14th is a performance showcase, we might consider it with the persmission of the storytellers!
