My feelings at attending the graduation of “Woolf Class”, a nursery class in Walworth, London which is named after me.
Hearing how often my name is used (”nice sitting, Woolf class”) is quite weird!
The staff at Surrey Square Primary understand the power and value of storytelling, by highlighting my work as a storyteller they are equipping these children with their own voices – I feel very lucky to have been a small part of that vital work.
Watching them graduate, I’m reminded again how important, significant, colourful and real everything is when you are four years old. If you want to make a difference in someone’s life, nursery is the perfect time to do it.
(And I’ve just found out that the class will be named after me for another year -yay!)

This is so cute Vanessa!! Well done, lovely honour, richly deserved xxx
Thank you so much Debbie thats so kind!
