I’ve had some difficult storytelling commissions over the years. E.g. Coming up with the story for this event was really hard!
But devising a suitable story for upcoming “Late Night Showing” (inspired by our favourite classic 80s and 90s Sci Fi) was one of the most difficult things I’ve done for ages.
Nigel got the music side covered ages ago– a perfect mixture of folk and sic fi- and I wanted to do the same. To be true to my storytelling roots but true to the movies too.
I’ve finally got something I’m happy with, like many traditional tales I tell, it’s about the nature of life, death and the passage of time. It’s also about killer robots and soft focus sex.
Anyway, we’re found a suitably post apocalyptic corner to tell it and you can bring a flickering candle in a jar and join us for the apocalypse on the evening of 6th June.
